In this article, the professor explains a well-known phrase often repeated in Tijāni circles: “the zawiya stands by God.”

He insists that the expression must not be misunderstood as a call to passivity. Drawing on the understanding of the great scholars of the path, he shows instead that it expresses a spiritual guarantee of continuity, not an exemption from action. Earlier masters defended the path, corrected internal excesses, advised disciples, and worked for unity.

The article is therefore both doctrinal and pedagogical: trust in the divine promise must be joined to labor, vigilance, and real service to the ṭarīqah.
