Hijaz
The Hijaz, land of the two holy sanctuaries of Islam, also hosted important figures of the Tijaniyya path. Among them was Sidi Ghali Boutaleb, a direct companion of Sīdī Aḥmad al-Tijānī, who passed away in Mecca and was buried in the cemetery of Hajoun near the tomb of Sayyida Khadija.
He had several disciples, among whom the famous Sidi Omar Fouti Tall. The influence of this spiritual lineage later continued in Medina through some of his disciples and relatives who contributed to maintaining the presence of the path in that region.
